Diet Coke Coming Out With New Flavors this Month

Things are about to change in the soda world later this month for those who drink Diet Coke. Don't panic because the Diet Coke you know and love isn't going anywhere. Instead, Diet Coke is getting a bit of a makeover for 2018.

The original Diet Coke recipe and flavor will stay the same. So what's changing? Coca-Cola just announced that they are expanding their Diet Coke brand by offering some new, more modern flavors like ginger lime, feisty cherry, twisted mango, and zesty blood orange. The new flavors also will come in very brightly colored cans so they can be easily spotted in stores.

If you're a fan of Cherry Coke Zero, you'll be all about the new feisty cherry Diet Coke. It's described as having a bit of a spicy flavor to it.

The new cans will be slimmer, but will still hold the 12-ounces the old can did. "We love the essence of Diet Coke and we don’t want to throw it away — just modernize it so we can re-express it for a new generation of fans," said Rafael Acevedo, Coca-Cola North America’s group director for Diet Coke, in an interview with BuzzFeed News.

With the new flavors also comes some bad news. Diet Coke Lime and Diet Coke Cherry will no longer be sold in stores. However, the new flavors complete with the bright packaging will hit stores later this month!
