We have known for quite a while that Ed Sheeran is the perfect crooner. Well, apparently now he has been asked to be the ROYAL crooner.

Entertainment Tonight (ET) is reporting that Sheeran has been asked to perform a "few songs" for Prince Harry's upcoming wedding to Meghan Markle.

It is not clear whether Sheeran has accepted the offer just yet, but we have to think it would be tough to say no to a request from The Queen. In fact, ET is reporting that it is likely Sheeran would perform during the evening reception.

"This is where everyone's really going to get down, this is for close friends and family," a source tells ET.

In fact, it's likely that Ed could perform the soundtrack to the couple's first dance even.  Which songs would Sheeran perform? If he performs "Perfect," maybe he could bring Beyonce along. We LOVE their recently released duet on that track.

However, Ed may have given us an EXCLUSIVE hint about another love song that could work for the reception. Yeah, we asked Ed last year which of his song lyrics has been most successful to pick up ladies:

Prince Harry's wedding ceremony, by the way, will take place from St. George’s Chapel on Saturday, May 19 (at 12 pm GMT). Yes, that's 7 am ET if you were planning on watching the televised coverage.

Meanwhile, Ed is probably busy planning on his own wedding. The 26-year-old super star recently announced his engagement to his longtime girlfriend, Cherry Seaborn. The couple have not announced a date for their nuptials.
