Separately, Avenged Sevenfold and Prophets of Rage kick some serious a$$. But together—during this summer’s End of The World tour—they’re literally going to melt fans’ faces.

While the bands just announced the summer team-up, Prophets of Rage guitarist (and former Rage Against the Machine/Audioslave member) Tom Morello dropped a bomb about Avenged Sevenfold frontman M. Shadows when he revealed: “We just met in person a couple days ago.” Cue the record scratch.

After referring to A7X as “trend resistant,” Morello revealed, “I remember when the ‘Bat Country’ video first came on, and to me, it was such a refreshing dose of unapologetic rock n’ roll.”

In return, Avenged Sevenfold frontman M. Shadows told us, “’Killing in the Name’ was one of the first things that struck my attention.” From that point on, he “became a huge Rage Against the Machine Fan,” explaining that he “learned all their stuff on the guitar.”

So who else can make M. Shadows starstruck? Hear the stories of how he met Ozzy Osbourne, Axl Rose, and Metallica.

As for Morello, who were his rock idols back in the day? Listen to this story to find out!

Rockstars! They're just like us! Three Days Grace will join both bands on The End of The World Tour, which kicks off July 22 in Mansfield, MA and wraps up September 2 in The Woodlands, TX.
